Mrs. Krajeski’s Masterpiece of Unique Students

To my amazing student, I am so excited that you are a part of Mrs. Krajeski’s Masterpiece of US, or Unique Students.  During your special week, you will have the chance to share with our class what makes you, YOU-nique:  you noticing individual qualities (and) understanding (your) excellence.  To the wonderful parents, thank you for your support to make your child’s week extra special.

Monday: All About Me Person

One week prior to your scheduled week, a student-shaped poster will be sent home with you.  You may decorate your person in the way that most reflects you.  Fill it with fun facts.  Color it all sorts of bright and zany colors.  Cover it with favorite pictures.  Write a story about yourself.  Whatever idea you come up with, make sure that you have fun with the project.  Bring the poster in on Monday to present to the class and display on the wall.

Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday: Lunch Buddy

Parents, if possible, please join your child in the cafeteria for a special lunch on the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of your child’s special week.  Choose the day that works best with your schedule.  You may also choose to invite a sibling or a favorite relative to be your child’s lunch buddy.  If you are unable to make it during our lunch period, please let me know, and I will allow the student to select someone special from the school.  Our lunch is from 11:30 to 11:55 followed by recess until 12:15.

Friday: Surprise Parent Letter & We’re thankful for YOU!

On Friday, you will receive a surprise letter from your parents, so please make sure they read this handout!

Parents, on Friday, you will send in a letter to the class telling us how special your child is to you.  Please send the letter in a sealed envelope to school with your child, and I will read the letter to the class.  The contents in the letter are up to you, but please find below a few helpful ideas:

·         describe a special or funny favorite moment

·         create a funny or serious poem

·         tell us something we may not know, like a special talent

·         write a short story with your child as the main character

On Friday, you will also be recognized by your classmates (who think you are absolutely amazing!)
